Pivotal, a global software company, engaged Influence Solutions to strengthen its leadership capability since it was preparing to IPO and had ambitious expansion plans.
Over a period of 15 months Influence Solutions worked with the APJ Executive Leadership Team and key HR personnel from Singapore, Australia, Japan and China.
Challenges Faced
- To sustain the rapid growth and increase in staff strength there was a crucial need for effective leadership to provide a seamless and consistent leadership experience and build, nurture and support high performing teams.
- Robust leadership development processes were needed to empower the second tier of leaders, (mainly, young technical professionals) to step up and support business growth across the region.
The Aim:
- To standardise leadership competencies and culture across the region
- To ensure second and third line of leaders were ready to support the expansion positions and drive business growth across the region
Solution and Results:
- Influence solutions worked closely with the CEO and Regional HR Head to create the PIVOTING TO SUCCESS Solution; a highly practical and empowering leadership experience.
- This 300 day transformational leadership journey, comprising of workshops, executive coaching, and actual “live” business projects addressing internal performance and client-centric business priorities was centred around the Pivotal leadership competencies.
- The result was a marked increase in the confidence of leaders in demonstrating the Pivotal competencies and the development of a coaching culture that ensured enhanced trust and transparency.
- Visible business results were also achieved from the “actual” projects embarked on and tracked quarterly.
- Morale and motivation across the executive team was high, with over 90% giving the learning journey the highest possible positive rating.
